My passion for woodworking started as a child, spending time with my grandfather in his workshop. Fond memories building toys and seeing the techniques he used first hand shaped my future to take up the craft. Today, HardKNntsWoodwork a father and son team, where I (Evan) do the building, and my father (Perry) does the painting and finishing.

I’ve found woodworking to be an incredible experience where all of your senses come into play. Creating something with your hands an amazing change and escape from the digital world. Working with a natural substance like wood means every piece has subtle differences that need to be considered to achieve the design you are chasing and highlight the natural beauty of the material. Each piece I create goes through a journey of designing, building, adapting, and finishing which provides unique elements and challenges that force continuous growth. One of my favorite aspects of woodworking is that there is always more to learn.

I aim to build pieces that will be cherished by the people who take them home for years to come. I believe in building with a lasting quality and attention to detail that is appreciated and valued.
