Radiator Cover FAQs

How much does a radiator cover cost?

Most covers fall in the $400-700 range. However a very small cover for an in-wall unit could be as low as $350. Please contact us to get a quote for your covers.

How does the process work?

We always start with a rough measurement (nearest inch is fine) and/or a photo of your radiator(s). This allows us to give you an estimate virtually. Once the estimate is agreed upon, if necessary, we will come to your home to take precise measurements of your radiator(s). We then require a 20% deposit to hold a place in our build queue. Finally, we’ll give you an estimated time to when your radiator covers will be ready for delivery. Timing varies based on our current order backlog and size of your order.

Will you measure my radiator for me?

Yes! If you are in the Boston area we can come to you and take precise measurements to ensure an optimal fit. We can make special arrangements to fit covers around windows, doors, trim, pipes, knobs, corners, and all sorts of scenarios.

Why do you ask me to measure my radiator?

Customer measurements are for quote purposes and only need to be approximate. Before we come to take measurements at your home or business, we use those approximate measurements to give an estimated cost. Once an estimated price is agreed, we can come take additional precise measurements, if necessary.

If you are unable to measure your radiator, a photo of each radiator can also be used to give an estimate.

How do I measure my radiator?

We need to know the size of your radiator to give a price quote. This includes any pipes or knobs that stick out from the sides.

You measurement should include:

  • Height. From the floor to the very highest point on the radiator

  • Length. Including any pipes, valves, knobs, or anything else sticking out.

  • Depth. Measured from the baseboard of your wall to the very furthest point out on the radiator.

My floor is uneven can you work with that?

Homes settle over time and may not have a perfectly level floor around a radiator. This can be accounted for by putting a shim under the foot of your radiator, or in more extreme cases we can add leveling feet to your radiator cover or even scribe the cover to the floor.

What if I have a window, door, or other obstruction near my radiator?

If there is anything within 6 inches of your radiator in any direction please let us know when you place your order. We can customize the fit to work around any obstacles. In some cases a home visit may be needed to get precise measurements.

What materials do you use?

Our covers are built from MDF, a recycled wood product. We choose MDF because it’s incredibly stable and can hold up to the high heat and rapid temperature change that occurs around a radiator. It won’t split, warp, twist, or crack over time. Plus, MDF is environmentally friendly because it uses would be discarded wood products.
We use high quality furniture grade Benjamin Moore paints and primers for an excellent durable finish.
Metal screens are made from a high quality aluminum.
